It was a lovely stay with family at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion. The facilities are excellent and the rooms are very special, with lovely views from the balconies. The restaurants are very good and the staff were generally very attentive, especially when it was less busy. We would recommend the hotel for a beach stay with easy access to town.

Breakfast and accommodation excellent. The Palms closing on certain days not good. Menu changes at the pool/terrace restaurant seriously needed. Otherwise we will be returning.
Whilst the position is wonderful the property is looking very tired in places. The main dining room lacks atmosphere due to poor lighting and it needs to feel more inviting at night. All the staff are very friendly but some do lack the professional touch especially in the restaurant areas when compared to those at the Coral Reef Club and The Sandpiper Hotels.
Having stayed at this hotel for at least 10 years prior to 2019, we were disappointed with the service. Regularly we were ignored while waiting for a drink in the bar, and witnessed several groups leaving after 10 to 15 minutes without being served. The atmosphere at breakfast is not the same at it was in the Taboras, and to be honest, the senior staff were not as friendly as previously, sometimes leaving us feeling we were an intrusion into their day
Enjoyable, but needs a few things sorted out

Lovely room, clean and generally in good condition although one bathroom tile was loose. Perfect location right on the beach. Friendly service and willing reception staff we appreciated being able to retain a room until departure. Breakfast buffet not 5 star in quality or service. Chipped cups, incorrect drinks order, needed to queue for egg station by which time other food was cold. dry and overcooked food under covers.
Great service, food, and staff. Beautiful beach
