The Riviera Maya is a region located in the southeast of Mexico along the coast of the Caribbean Sea.
The region of Riviera Maya is famous for its miles of soft beaches, Mayan ruins, and world-class scuba diving. For the adventurous, the recreational activities are endless such as scuba diving with electric rays among giant sponges and stony corals, ziplining over beautiful jungles, jetskiing miles across the Caribbean waters, and swimming with dolphins at Delphenus in Playa del Carmen. Visiting cenotes is another experience unique to this area. Cenotes are sinkholes filled with fresh water, typically found in caves that the Mayans believed were sacred places.

- From the moment we checked in to the minutes we got on our transport to leave every single day was perfect. We loved the staff they went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfection. Jorge is the kindest, most wonderful person. He went above, and beyond to make sure all of my allergies were considered and noted at every restaurant I have a shellfish and gluten allergy, so that was very difficult when you’re at the beach far from home, my only note is that the gluten-free bread provided is not as good as the bread I brought from the states. However, visit the little village with the sweet shop and there are some bakeries there from Rosewood. There is a gluten-free orange coconut bread that is mind blowing go there first and grab a few slices so that you can enjoy it with your coffee at the amazing breakfast at La laguna. Our favorite beach server had to be Oscar. He took such good care of us, and make sure we were taken care of, and all of my food substitutions and allergies were accommodated.- get the gluten-free pizza and the fish tacos grilled they will change your life! Our favorite dinner place had to be turro- just wow wow wow!! we stayed on all inclusive plan and the drinks and food did not disappoint. One of our most favorite experiences was the water bikes through the cenote’s. Lizbet is a phenomenal Tourguide and waterbike experience master. Alfonso at Turro was our most favorite waiter He took such good care of us and kept us laughing and entertained. - a lot of other reviews. Spoke about some of the construction and upgrades that are going on on property. Yes that can be a little inconvenient. However, anytime we called for a pick up it only took 3 to 5 minutes to get a ride or we ride our bikes. However, don’t ride your bikes in the rain or when it’s wet.- we were lucky we had beautiful weather. Our entire experience was unforgettable. Be mindful this is a family friendly resort we camped out in the beach away from the pools because a few of the kids were being unruly and at one point aggressive. It would be nice for someone to designate one of the pools adults only especially for couples and moms that need a break! Still we just kept to ourselves and after a couple drinks you just go with the flow! The water sports and activities were absolutely incredible the snorkeling and sailing was phenomenal. Seriously we can’t wait to head back! Thank you to the incredible staff. Epic trip!!
Overall, very pleased with the resort. The facilities and staff were wonderful. The suite we stayed in was clean, spacious, and private. There are 4 things that we think you should be aware of: 1) Getting around. It would have been more preferable to be closer to the beach or have better walking access so as not to wait on shuttles to get us around. 2) Bugs. While we were very happy with the suite size and layout, we did notice very tiny bugs (termites?) within the unit, especially in the bathroom. It wasn't too terrible, but should be looked into and addressed to avoid costly repairs to the structure and others maybe being put off by them more than we were. 3) Food value. While I understand this is a resort and everyone is on vacation and expecting to pay some premium for things, I think the food costs were too high. $20 for chips and guacamole is pushing it even by American standards. Be aware that this will get noticed and shared on social media. This is a very tricky balancing act between your business and your customers. As a business person myself, please be aware that your business is on the cusp of driving business away by increasing your food costs to your guests. 4) Attentiveness of wait staff. We found ourselves wishing we were checked on a bit more frequently. I understand this varies by person/group, but we often were in need of things and needed to flag down staff repeatedly for, snacks, drinks, refills, or just to grab our check to leave. A little more frequent check-ins would have been preferred. Thank you for your services. Generally speaking, you have a great resort, beach, and facility. Most importantly, your staff was very good to us. Sincerely, Borce P.
Resort was nice, food was incredible. Felt the service was slow due to the staff being too busy or not enough of them. Had to wait for shuttles due to them being full, so more frequent shuttles would have been nice.
The installations are excellent, as well as the food, we had very bad experiences with having a broken glass in front of our door uncleaned by 3 hours after we made a call to advise. We were in the pool and a pool guy slipped his tray with food and dishes and he did not cleaned the food well that was in the floor , that was just half a meter from where I was laying on, birds started coming to eat the food and that really was very unpleasant to live. The other bad thing was the long wait for the golf cart drivers, they told us first around 10 mins wait but it was 3 times that I had to wait 25 mins (also heard other clientele complaining about that).

5th time staying at the resort. Stayed in a beachfront casita. Arrived to a room that was made up for another guest (baby crib, birthday gifts) - not a big deal. AC unit dripped on table. Requested cot 3 times - never arrived. Newly renovated rooms are very well done - excellent renos throughout the resort. Played tennis - great facilities, a little odd that there's a $20 fee not covered by "resort fees" Dining options were decent, not great. We found the restos had very limited menus - i.e. not a great selection. Steak house was excellent (Tauro), Mexican was terrible (Laguna). Beach service was great and service very well done. However, the beach employees had a "break room" below the deck of our unit where they would hang out and smoke during breaks. For a $3k room per night, it was odd that they would choose that place as a location for breaks. Also, as the main pathway from reception to the beach was closed, transportation was not great. You have to wait for "taxis" and they take all of the bikes and store them somewhere each night so everyday is a challenge to find transportation. They should stock different areas with bikes so people have more of a choice of how to get around. We stood around sometimes waiting to get to different areas of the resort. Overall it was a good vacation, but not worth the price.
This resort is absolutely amazing! The staff did everything in their power to allow us to have the best vacation we could. From arriving at the property, Gerson and Martin were extremely welcoming and helpful. To the pool with Geronimo and the beach with Carlos, where they made our visits relaxing with their top notch service. The spa experience was fabulous too. Mayrah the room attendant and the amenities in the women’s locker room allowed me to completely relax and enjoy my time spent there. Overall, this resort is second to none and allowed us an incredible vacation.
