  • From Airport North: Take the first exit to 26 west. Take the Marginal until exit to Piñones, Isla Verde. You will see Pueblo supermarket at your left. Keep left on the Ave Los Governadores, 2nd light turn left in that light. After Platos Restaurant and Lupis you will find El San Juan Hotel to your right hand side. 

    Taxi Turistico from airport to hotel is $14 per taxi plus $1 for each piece of luggage. From 10:00pm to 6:00am a charge of $1 per trip applies.

  • From hotel, take Isla Verde Ave (Route #37) on left, going East. Turn right on Route #187 (Governors Ave), keep right going west. Continue straight on Route #26 going west. Turn right onto ramp to San Juan. Stay on Route 22 to city center.

Beautiful property, convenient to the airport

Everything was great and the service was warm, but you do need to do a better job in maintaining order at reception and the bell desk where nobody seems to understand who is in line and who isn’t, which results in a messy free-for-all and chaos during busy times.

Lovely lobby and public areas but rooms not the expected standard for a Fairmont.

Stayed for a wedding (not in the hotel). The hotel was not helpful with early checkin at all and was pretty slow on the front desk. The lobby and public areas are really nice (no idea on restaurants as we did not eat there). Hotel rooms however, whilst nice are not as luxurious as you'd expect from a Fairmont.

beautiful hotel grounds and customer service

My partner and I were really excited to visit El San Juan for our babymoon. The spa was great, the beach was fantastic 1/2 our time there - clear and perfect. The second 1/2 it was full of seaweed, which clearly was by no fault of the hotel but something to keep in mind. The pools were well kept and restaurant food was great - highly recommend the breakfast buffet! Unfortunately, there are not enough chairs around the pool so make sure you wake up early and leave your towel to save a chair for yourself. We had some challenges with a room with a balcony but Gabriel at the front desk was incredible and did everything he could to accommodate us.

Great location… rooms in need of refresh

Outdoor space and location was amazing. Disappointed with room, would have expected better- (room felt dated or just not well kept from a maintenance perspective, front desk staff was ok (mgr I dealt with at checkout was awesome and helpful), overall disappointed with room and would’ve expected more.
